While being interviewed at “The View” today, Paul McCartney was asked how he felt about winning as many Grammy Awards and as many Gold records that he was named the most successful musician in the world.
He said that he did not even realize he had reached that many milestones, all he knew was that he loved what he’s doing and he just kept doing what he loved over the years. Yes, he said, it was impressive! Impressive that he gets recognized for it but there was obviously no conscious intent to accomplish such a feat. He just simply continued to do what he loved over and over again.
How wonderful it would be to do a day job that way? Just do what you love to do and the money and success follows without you intending it to, really. But a few too many extremely successful people from all fields have said just that: Do what you love to do and what you are passionate about and success by all measures would follow. A perfect world!
